Hi there!
The changed path…
I had a plan that I would go to college and become a teacher. I loved working with kids and supporting their journey in life. Fast forward through years of life and unexpected situations that changed my original path.
Taking a chance…
Now a single mom of 4, working as a preschool teacher (no completed degree in hand) yet, not enough income to keep a roof over our heads. Taking a leap of faith for lower housing costs, we moved to Elk Grove, Ca. Then another change happened…Covid. Finding a job felt almost impossible at that time with the schools closing down. I put in lots of grit and found a job that kept the kids and I barely afloat.
The journey began…
It then hit me that I really needed to find a way to spend more quality time with the kids on the days I was off work. So, I took another leap of faith and picked up a camera for the first time and started taking photos of life. That is when I went back to school and started challenging myself to learn as much as I could about photography. I found a love behind the lens that the kids enjoyed too! Dressing up, being silly or just a quiet moment in front of the camera. I found that we would go on more adventures and photograph moments together.

Photography brought a new perspective into my family's life. I met a man who loves to be part of the many funny captured moments with the kids and I. I found moments on the sports field, family and friends as well as with nature. I learned to love sharing the art I am creating with others and hearing their stories and capturing moments for them too. I have learned that photography is a creative art that shows expression and connection. I have built Lovely Images out of passion and compassion for families, friends and the community. A place where clients feel safe to be their best selves in front of the lens and I would love to be able to share my passion for photography with you!
